Insolmet® treated chromic acid passes TCLP Test! SWT received the results from independent laboratory testing showing lab samples of chromic acid which had been treated with Insolmet® passed the TCLP requirements for chromium with results of .010ml/liter and .040ml/liter. Passing this test is the first step to being delisted as a hazardous waste. We would be happy to work with your company toward achieving this cost-saving step. Contact SWT today to schedule an on-site evaluation of Insolmet®. Innovation to meet your needs In May 2004, the EPA released the Sector Strategies Performance Report 2004. In partnership with industry, government agencies and the four major industry trade associations, the Strategic Goals Program established the following performance goals for the surface finishing industry. Those goals are:
Through 2001, according to third party tracking by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences, the 150 tracked facilities managed these results:
SWT is a proud sponsor company of the Strategic Goals Program, and we are very excited about our ability to help you meet these goals. This commitment shows in our new product line, Insolmet®, SWT's Insoluble Sulfide Technology. Insolmet® is a process we have developed in house and despite what other's may claim (see the Me Too! page for details), it is something no one else can provide. Key to Insolmet® is it's relative insolubility. The active ingredients do not dissolve in water, resulting in a significant reduction in chemical discharge in wastewater. No carbon disulfide, dimethylamine, sodium trithiocarbonate, DTC, hydrogen sulfide, metabisulfite or calcium polysulfide in your effluent. As an added benefit, Insolmet® works best in a treatment system that utilizes solids recycling. This reduces the amount of additional coagulants and flocculants needed, and results in a much more concentrated sludge. Best of all, use of Insolmet® has been shown to stabilize sludge to the point it will pass the TCLP test, allowing you to pursue delisting as a hazardous waste. As you can see, this program goes a long way toward helping you meet the Strategic Goals targets. For more information, contact us.
